Our Job Placement Program

We are just as proud of our job placement program as we are of our training. After graduation we follow up with a job hunting seminar that includes interview techniques training, resume building and the occasional guest speaker to prepare for your job search. We then provide one-on-one assistance along with a 24/7 password protected job placement site that offers our graduates real job leads. Our job placement director is in constant communication with the managers and owners of New York's popular establishments, so that we can pass on any new leads to our graduates. When owners are not contacting us, we are contacting them. We also list all classifieds from local papers to in-the-biz publications, along with a listing of all the new bars, clubs and restaurants that open up. Our graduates can come into other school for one-on-one assistance anytime, and if they just want to brush up on their bartender/mixology skills the classroom is always open to them! We do work VERY HARD to provide leads for our graduates and do what ever we can to assist in their search! Our graduates are well trained and very confident when they leave our school. Personality and persistence is the key thereafter; it is the training & persistence of our graduates that accounts for our high job placement rate!

We feel we have an excellent job placement assistance program; however, it would mean nothing if we did not give our students the training to back it up. The RIGHT training REALLY does make all the difference, because NO bar manager or owner is going to hire a bartender until they have put that person behind their busy bar to see if they have the personality, skills and speed handle it! Our graduates have those skills. However, we understand the confidence builder of real on-the-job experience, which is why the training at our school is similar to working behind a real bar.

One final note; please be careful of any bartending school that tell you they can guarantee you a job (a tactic used to sign up students). Apart from being against state law, that is impossible to do, because it is the bar manager or owner doing the hiring, not the school!. We may not be able to guarantee you a job, but we can GUARANTEE you will receive the best training possible; prepare you for the interview; help you with your resume; and provide you job leads and interviews. We are dedicated to finding every New York Bartending School graduate a job, and will do all we can to achieve that goal!
